When it comes to hot spot celebrity neighborhoods in New York City, TriBeCa is one of the hottest. Food and fame often go hand in hand there, especially considering how many TriBeCa restaurants are tied to a celebrity backer. Notable residents include Jay-Z and Beyoncé, Daniel Craig, Meryl Streep, and Justin Timberlake (for now), to name a few. Whether they’re ordering food for delivery, or rubbing shoulders with famous friends at favorite eateries, here's a look at where the stars are dining in TriBeCa.

One place to find out where celebrities like to dine in TriBeCa is the popular food delivery site, SeamlessWeb. TriBeCa resident, actor and director, Ed Burns, recently shared with them his favorite places to order takeout in and around TriBeCa.

“Since Ed spends a lot of time at his production studio in TriBeCa, we figured he’d probably discovered a number of SeamlessWeb favorites while working late, so we wanted to share that knowledge with the larger food-ordering community,” said Ryan Scott, SeamlessWeb's Chief Marketing Officer.

For cheeseburgers, Burns suggests looking no further than P.J. Clarke’s. If you’re not the mood for burgers, check out the chicken paillard at Cercle Rouge, another neighborhood favorite. Burns' latest movie, Nice Guy Johnny was filmed and produced locally, so you can only imagine what the delivery bill must have been.

For most people, TriBeCa is particularly synonymous with one legendary actor, Robert De Niro. Some of the most esteemed restaurants in the area are tied to him — Nobu, Tribeca Grill, and Locanda Verde. But another New York native, Gwyneth Paltrow resides in her TriBeCa loft when she’s not in London. The Academy Award winner was spotted enjoying dinner with friends at Smith & Mills just a few months ago.

Another notable TriBeCa resident is R.E.M.'s frontman, Michael Stipe. Though he has always been known as a fan of art, Stipe's reputation for pursuing fine dining is growing (just ask Gwyneth Paltrow). The newest Iron Chef, Marc Forgione, said that when Stipe visited his TriBeCa restaurant for dinner, he could tell how much Stipe enjoys good food and wine.
